Unica, the largest independent provider of technical services in the Netherlands, acquires Industrial Automation supplier Pro-Fa Automation from Den Bosch. Pro-Fa has become since their startup in 2006 a respected supplier in the area of Industrial Automation. It provides services for companies in the Food, Chemical, Pharma and metal industry and in the packaging business.
Unica acquires a substantial share directly and will take over all shares in the coming years. Pro-Fa ensures that her customers are able to keep producing at a competitive level by implementing MES, SCADA and PLC solutions that help in the improvement of the production process and give insights in processes, cost price and performance. Pro-Fa has customers that are renowned multinationals, Small- and Medium Enterprises and utilities.
Pro-Fa Automation remains active in the market under the same name and with the same directors Jan de Haan, Christ Oomen and Mark Satink. Pro-Fa has 25 employees at this moment and steadily grows their business.
This acquisition fits the ambition of Unica in Industrial Automation
The acquisition is in line with Unica’s policy to focus on wider service in the market for Industrial Automation. Unica has had for some time now the ambition to grow her business in this area.
Unica Industrial Projects is already active in the market for building and process automation in the process industry, water and manufacturing industry. They are focusing on Greenfields, upgrades and migrations of technical installations. With this acquisition Unica wants to respond to the growing influence of Industrial Automation in production processes.
