Light Weight Containers (LWC) has set up a new production line in Grossbreitenbach in Germany. Pro-Fa was the implementation partner for the MES solution that is based on Wonderware.
The MES solution is the link between the ERP solutions of LWC and PET-Verpackungen Deutschland and the machines. The MES assures – by making use of handheld scanners – that the right combination of raw materials is being used and that all kegs get a unique 2D code. This way LWC is able to follow everything during the production process – like quality and production volumes – and afterwards, so there is a guaranteed optimised traceability. All data is logged in the ERP systems.
